At Makeup by Tamar, every effort is made to provide exceptional service and ensure a seamless experience. To maintain this high standard, the following booking and cancellation policies have been established. Clients are encouraged to review these policies carefully before scheduling an appointment.
Booking Policy
Non-Refundable Deposit
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking for any party or bridal makeup service. This deposit will be applied toward your final balance on the day of your appointment.
Payment
The remaining balance is due on the day of the service. Payments can be made via cash or e-transfer.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Client Cancellations
Cancellations made at least 5 days before the scheduled appointment will result in the loss of the deposit, but no further charges will be applied. Cancellations made less than 5 days before the appointment will result in a charge of 100% of the total service cost.
No-Show Appointments
If you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, you will be contacted. If there is no response 15 minutes past your booked time, the appointment will be cancelled, and a $50.00 cancellation fee will be applied. For future bookings after a no-show, full payment will be required to secure the appointment.
Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule their appointment up to 5 days before the scheduled service without penalty. The deposit will be applied to the new appointment date. Rescheduling requests made less than 5 days before the appointment will result in the loss of the deposit and a new deposit will be required to secure the rescheduled date.
Client Confirmation
Appointment Confirmation
You will be contacted during the week of your appointment to confirm the date, time, location, and any specific requirements. This contact will be made via your preferred method (phone, text, or email). A confirmation response is required to ensure your booking is not cancelled. Contact will be attempted up to three times. If there is no response after these attempts, it will be assumed that the appointment is no longer needed, and the booking will be cancelled. The deposit will be forfeited, and a new appointment will need to be scheduled.
Artist Cancellation
In the Event of Artist's Cancellation
If Makeup by Tamar must cancel an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be notified as soon as possible. Clients will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of their deposit.
Health & Safety Policy
Client Responsibilities
Please inform Makeup by Tamar of any allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions before your appointment to ensure the use of suitable products. Clients displaying signs of illness (e.g., fever, cough, or other symptoms) are asked to reschedule their appointment to ensure the safety of both the artist and other clients.
Hygiene Practices
Makeup by Tamar adheres to strict hygiene protocols, including sanitizing all tools and products before and after each client. Disposable applicators and brushes are used where necessary to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
